The CAR-5071 offers unmatched flexibility through its modular networking and storage options, while also supporting specialized applications such as smart networking and artificial intelligence (AI) processing.
The CAR-5071, featuring dual Intel’s 5th Generation Xeon SP processors (Emerald Rapids), is recognized for its high-end multi-networking capabilities. Its front-end modules for network and storage are easily interchangeable, allowing for seamless customization to meet diverse client needs. Additionally, this system includes six internal PCI Express Gen.5 slots, which support the integration of various expansion cards including Data Processing Units (DPUs) and SmartNICs.
DPUs are advanced cards designed for accelerated data processing, whereas SmartNICs function as programmable accelerators that enhance efficiency and versatility in data center networking, security, and storage by offloading tasks from main processors. Furthermore, programmable FPGA-based accelerators can further distribute the CPU workload, optimizing the overall system performance. The CAR-5071 is also capable of accommodating dedicated AI accelerator cards, facilitating sophisticated artificial intelligence tasks that are crucial across multiple sectors.
The CAR-5071 supports up to six NVIDIA ConnectX-7 family of network interface cards (NICs), offering bandwidths up to 400Gb/s (total bandwidth of 2.4Tb/s). For storage its offers six bays for U.2/SATA disk. This provides scalable networking solutions suitable for AI, edge computing, and the evolving demands of contemporary Data Centers.
